Johnson, Jill D.JILL D. JOHNSON, age 59 of 201 Salmon Creek Road, Lansing, NY left this life to be with her Lord Jesus October 4, 2011 at Cayuga Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born October 25, 1951 in Sherwood, NY, she is the daughter of Louis J. and Dorothy M. Bright Emmick. Jill graduated in 1969 from Lansing Central School and was employed at Lansing High School prior to retirement. She attended Faith Bible Fellowship in North Lansing. In addition to her parents, Louie and Dorothy Emmick of Lansing, Jill is survived by her husband of 41 years, Donald R. Johnson at home; her daughter, Tracy (Daniel) Lajza of Dryden, NY; grandchildren, Jacob, Mattea and Connor Lajza; brothers, Wayne (Judy) Emmick of Lansing, NY and Darrell (Ella) Emmick of Harford Mills, NY; in laws, John and Dorothy Johnson of Holly Hill, FL; sisters in law, Fran Carr of Edgewater, FL and Amy Johnson of Berkeley, CA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. At Jill's request, a private family memorial service will be held at Faith Bible Fellowship in North Lansing with Rev. Jason Berga officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to SPCA of Tompkins County, 1640 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca OR Salvation Army, 150 N. Albany St., Ithaca, NY 14850 OR charity of one's choice.
