Jewel White Jewel White, 88, died Friday, November 3, 2007, in Auburndale, Fla. The service will be at 1 p.m. EST Saturday, Nov. 10, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home-Riggins Road Chapel (850-877-8191), with burial at Woodville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. EST Friday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home.Jewel was born in Moultrie, Ga., and was a longtime resident of Tallahassee. She married Johnnie White March 5, 1938, in Dade City, Fla. Along with her late husband, they were true to God's work at the Timberlane Church of Christ, and also at the Church of Christ in Wakulla Station. She was actively involved at the Wakulla Senior Citizens Center.She is survived by three sons, David White of Tallahassee, Randy White and Tony White, both of Wakulla; five daughters, Joyce Mathis of Auburndale, Joanne Northridge of Bay St. Louis, Miss., Faye Wells of Auburndale, Jadonne White of Wakulla and Angie Brown of Aucilla River; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie White; and her parents, William Grant Welch and Luvadia Wright Welch.
