Trinity<!--Trinity-->Funeral for Jewel Beatrice Johnson White, 84, formerly of Pleasant Grove, will be Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Waldrop officiating. Graveside service will be Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Crumly Chapel Cemetery in Birmingham. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. White, who died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at her son's residence, was born June 10, 1923, in the Punkin Center community to Rufus R. Johnson and Nancy Alice Higgins Johnson. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church but had attended Mount View Baptist Church for the past few years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husbandof 53 years, J.C. White, five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include three sons, Charles White (Dana) of Aztec, N.M., Barry White (Linda) of Trinity and Dale White (Vivian) of Birmingham; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Alabama. Her family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Hospice of North Alabama.
