Jessie Mae Hill, of 122 Bates St., Apt. 241, Fountain Inn, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, at her home. Born in Laurens County, a daughter of the late Toy Parks and Lillie Harris Parks, and wife of the late James Hill, she was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Fountain Inn and was a retired employee of Bryson Middle School. She is survived by three sons, Eddie Hugh Hill of Duncan, Douglas James Hill of Fountain Inn and Ernest Jackson Jr. of Greenville; two daughters, Josephine Hill of Fountain Inn and Estherleen Hill Moon of Columbia, Md.; five brothers, Willie James Parks of Mauldin, Harold Parks of Fountain Inn, Elbert Parks and Al Parks of Greenville and Frank Parks of Laurens; six sisters, Lou Ella Bennon of Taylors, the Rev. Lillie Drummond of Duncan, and Alberta Miller, Dorothy Parks and Rachel Miller, all of Greenville, and Mildred Griffin of Simpsonville; 10 grandchildren (two reared in the home), Mary Frances Mansell and Lillie Renee Smith of Greenville; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral service: 2 p.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Fountain Inn, with the Rev. S.N. Madden, officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
