RAMSEY Jessie Elizabeth "Liz" Ramsey, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away quietly, Saturday, November 11, 2006 after a brief illness. Our Mother was born to LC. and Mattie Clemons on September 28, 1929, and married Fred C. Ramsey in 1948. She lived all her life in Jacksonville. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, David Clemons, and grandson Mark Jammes. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of Hart Haven Baptist Church. She was a Past Matron of Woodstock Park Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Surviving family members are daughter, Estelle Jammes of Jacksonville, FL; son, Fred Ramsey, Jr. and daughter, Jeannie Law, both of Enterprise, AL; sisters, Francis Barber, of McClenny, FL and Betty Tillis (Winfield), of Suwannee, FL; brother, L.C. Clemons, of Jacksonville, FL; grandsons, Greg Jammes (Rebecca) of Jacksonville, FL and Landon Law of Enterprise, AL; Granddaughter Kim Rinaudo, of Inverness, FL; six great-grandchildren, Katherine, Heather, Kayleigh, Ambrae, Candice, and Joe Joe; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves a great friend and neighbor Portia. Our Mother will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sassy, Boss, and Crackers are going to miss her in their own little way. The family will receive friends tonight, 6-8PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at TOWN & COUNTRY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at the funeral home, with Rev. Don Cooley of Hart Haven Baptist Church officiating. Interment is to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the seventh floor MICU at Shands Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion for our Mother during her recent illness.
