A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Johnson Carter and Eula Mae McMahan. He also was a retired employee of the City of Spartanburg and was inducted in the Softball fast pitch Hall of Fame and Drafted by the Boston Red Sox. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are one daughter Jacqueline Y Carter of Spartanburg, SC: 2 sons Jesse J. Carter, Jr. of Delaware and Jeffrey W.
