Jerry Wayne Davis, 57, of Elk Horn, Ky., died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, in Louisville, Ky. Son of the late Charles Wayne Davis and Kathleen Frances Jones Davis, he was born Oct. 15, 1955, in Taylor County. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Knifley Christian Church. He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, Knifley School System and Cox Built Homes. He was a member of Casey Creek Masonic Lodge #536 F & AM. He married Deborah Cox on June 28, 1976. She survives. Survivors also include two sons, Christopher Wayne Davis and his wife, Leslie Pace Davis, and Joseph Parker Davis and his fiancŽe, Aubrey Skutt, all of Campbellsville; three grandchildren, Parker Kate Davis, Pace McCall Davis and Paxton Bentley Davis; a sister, Charlotte Hovious and her husband, Roger; two brothers, Johnny Davis of Elk Horn and Danny Grant and his wife, Julia, of Charleston, S.C.; a niece, Monica Houghlin and her husband, Billy, of Knifley, Ky.; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral was Sunday, Dec. 23, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Minister Hugh Withers officiated. Burial was in Chappell Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ricky Barnes, Eddie Bright, Larry Davis, Tony Davis, Tony Dixon, Joe Fair, Roger Hovious, Alvin Humphress, Todd Humphress, Wendel Rainwater and Michael Robison. Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Barnes, Brian Davis, Leslie Davis, Phil Hovious, Gary Humphress, Harold Lee Humphress, Nickolas Humphress, Rick Humphress, Ronnie Humphress, Timmy Humphress, Malcolm Humphress, Vernon Humphress and Curtis Wood.
