Jerry "Jock" Johnson of 1183 Reedy Fork Road died on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was a son of James Johnson, Jr. and the late Anna Greggs. He retired from National Electric Carbon Fibers after 33 years of service due to declining health.Surviving, in addition to his father, are his wife, Donna Johnson; daughter, Alicia (Minister Quentin) Whitfield of Simpsonville; sons, Jerry Kareem (Karen) Johnson of Pelzer, William Jerrell Johnson and Donnell Johnson, both of the home; sisters, Beulah Juanita Johnson of Greenville, Marketa Hopkins, Romona Palmore and Tercell Riley, all of Charleston; brothers, James Johnson III, Jamel Foster and Damione Foster, all of Charleston; two grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mamie Young Black.Funeral Service: Friday 2 p.m. at Long Branch Baptist Church, (pastor Sean Dogan) with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.The family is at the home.
