Courtland<!--Courtland-->Funeral for Jennie Davis, 95, of Courtland will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at noon at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek with Thompson and Son Funeral Home in Tuscumbia directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at her residence. She was born Jan. 4, 1912, to the late Isaac and Mary Mason. She gave her life to Christ at an early, early age and joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Town Creek until her death. She was also a member of North Star Chapter No. 55, Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyatt Davis; three brothers, James C. Mason, Leonard Mason and Isaac Mason Jr.; and one sister, Laura Campbell. She is survived by two sisters, Nannie Mason and Ester Orr, both of Courtland; one brother, Henry (Annie) Mason of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Ruthie Mae Brown of Decatur; one first cousin, Eligah (Yvette) Bailey of Decatur; one special niece, Geneva (Eli) Asher of St. Louis, Mo.; a host of nieces and nephews and many, many cousins and friends.
