JEFFREY H. JOHNSON CROWN POINT, IN Jeffrey H. Johnson, age 65, of Crown Point, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at St. Anthony Medical Center. He passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife Lois; children: Mark (Cheryl) Johnson of Munster, Julie Nowak of Appletown, WI, Jodi (Ed) Helfers of Dyer, Roger (Lisa) Abraham of Chesterton, Melissa (John) Luciano of Los Angeles, CA; 12 grandchildren: Melissa, Matthew and Mitchell Nowak, Emily and Sarah Johnson, Megan and Allison Helfers, Jessica, Kristin, Patrick and Nicholas Abraham, Myles Luciano; sister Joan Atwood of WI and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Howard and Betty Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point with Pastor Mark Wilkins officiating. Interment at Lake Village Cemetery in Lake Village, IN. Friends may call at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (Note New Location) at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point (two blocks E. of Broadway) on Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 1-6pm. Jeff was a graduate of Gary Wirt High School graduating class of 1960. He graduated from Michigan Tech College and was a member of Delta Sigma Chi. Jeff worked for Tempel Steel Corp. in Chicago for 24 years. He also worked at National Steel as a Metallurgical Engineer for 15 years. He was a member of the BZA in Munster. Jeff was a former member of the Jaycees in Munster and coached the 1981 13 year old Munster Babe Ruth All Star Team to the State Championship. He was an avid Bears and White Sox fan. Jeffrey enjoyed raising and racing thoroughbred horses and was involved in numerous organizations dealing with horses. He fulfilled his lifelong dream of watching his horses run on the race track.
