BELANGER, Jeanne Marguerite On July 31st, 1999, our gentle and loving mother, Jeanne Belanger passed away at the age of 97 years. Left to mourn her loss and cherish memories, her loving family; son Andre (Barb) Belanger of Brampton, Ontario, daughters Francoise (David) Leigh of Brighton, Ontario and Terry (Fred) Code of Edson, Alberta. There are nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild left to mourn as well as her sister Cecile Gougeon of Ottawa, Ontario, numerous other relatives and many friends. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Rudolph as well as four brothers and three sisters. "What would we give her hand to clasp. Her patient face to see; To hear her voice, to see her smile, As in the days that used to be. But some sweet day we'll meet again, Beyond the toil and strife, And clasp each others hand once more, In Heaven that happy life." As requested, Jeanne was cremated and no funeral will be held. Her ashes will be buried with her husband in Ottawa, Ontario. In lieu of floral tributes, donations to the Edson Nursing Home, 4716-5th Ave., Edson, AB, T7E 1S8 is suggested by the family. A donation to the Trans Canada Trail will be made by the Edson Funeral Home Ltd. in memory of Jeanne, in this their 50th year of continuous, courteous service to West Central Alberta.
