76, of Rutland, VT died Friday, October 11, 2002 at her home. She was born August 11, 1926 in Scranton, PA, daughter of Linton Ware and Dorothy (Chapman) Hazlett. Mrs. Rodgers graduated from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA. She worked for several years as the assistant advertising manager for the Security Mutual Insurance Company in Binghamton, NY. She married Richard E. Rodgers on October 9, 1954. Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ. She was on the Peekskill YMCA Board, and the Library Board. She volunteered at the Rutland Regional Medical Center for many years, and was president of the Hudson Valley Medical Center Auxiliary. She enjoyed music and loved to play the piano. Survivors include her husband, Richard E. Rodgers of Rutland, a son Richard Linton Rodgers of Glenmont, NY, three grandchildren, a sister, Audrey Smith of Yarmouth, ME and a niece. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ Chapel at a later date.
