JEANNE A. LEITH (NEE CANTWELL) PORTAGE, IN Jeanne A. Leith (nee Cantwell), age 57 of Portage, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010. She was a graduate of River Forest, class of 1972. Jeanne was formerly employed by the State of Indiana Unemployment Office. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Hamilton and her parents: Eugene and Joanne Cantwell. Jeanne is survived by her husband of 24 years, James B. Leith; two children: Allen (Kelly) Mietzner and Michael (fiancé, Rami Piers) Leith, both of Portage; two grandchildren: Joseph and Sienna; sisters: Martha (Bruce) Washko of AZ and Debbie (Jim) Johnson of MO; brothers: Jim (Marsha) Chambers of TX, Tom (Rita) Cantwell and Chuck (Cathy) Cantwell, both of Hobart, Gary (Virginia) Cantwell and Bobby Cantwell, both of Portage; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law: Robert (Barbara) Bowers of Griffith, William (Susan) Bowers of Munster and Dave Bowers of Ft. Wayne; sister-in-law, Linda Leith of OK; mother- in-law, Margaret J. Bowers of Valparaiso; and beloved labrador, Misty. Funeral service on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart. Cremation will follow the service.
