Mrs. Smith was born October 3, 1927 in Robertson County to the late Glenn and Emma Perry Taylor. She was a lifelong member of Barren Plains Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Smith and her sisters, Evelyn Barton and Elizabeth Holman. Survived by son, Neel (Sherrie) Smith of Cedar Hill; daughters, Donna Jones of Cedar Hill, Kathy (Paul) Clary of Hendersonville, Beth (Martin) Cook of Springfield; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m., in Memorial Gardens, with Tim Harris officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gorham McBane Library Building Fund. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the ROBERTSON COUNTY FUNERAL HOME, (615) 384-0036.
