TOMS RIVER, N.J. - Jeanette R. (Robichaud) Smith, 92, a longtime Tewksbury resident, died Tuesday, April 13, at the Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was the wife of Charles W. Smith Sr., who died on Nov. 29, 1966. She was born in New Brunswick, Maine, on May 24, 1911, a daughter of the late Placid and Sarah (Gendreau) Robichaud. She was raised and educated in Lowell, and later moved to Tewksbury, where she had lived for 53 years. Before retiring, Mrs. Smith worked at Wang Laboratories in Tewksbury. She previously worked as an aide at the former St. Joseph's Hospital in Lowell. In her earlier years, she was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in West Andover. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, crafts and traveling. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara E. Bennett of Tewksbury; six grandchildren, Deborah Wells, Joyce Kling, Linda O'Connell, Heide Overstreet, and Mark and Mitchell Smith; many great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was also the mother of the late Charles W. Smith Jr.; mother-in-law of the late Donald L. Bennett; and sister of the late Daniel, Charles, Mable, Florence, Alice, Bertha and Blanche.
