Jean W. (Worthington) Age 94, of Gillett, PA, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2004 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Born September 16, 1909 in Dushore, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie (Rose) Worthington. Jean was a Registered Nurse for many years having worked for the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA, Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY, and in later years was the plant nurse for the Westinghouse Corp., Elmira, NY. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandma. She loved needlework and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City. Surviving are two very special granddaughters, Theresa (John) Boslett of Corning, NY, and Patricia (Tim) Sherwood of Elmira, NY; three great-grandchildren; special niece, Jean Robinson; sister-in-law, Ruth Wilson; loving friend and caregiver, Betty Straight. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Wilson; son, Joseph Wilson; brother, Chauncey Worthington; and sister, Georgia Johnston. Family and friends are invited to call at Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY, on Saturday, June 12, 2004, from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Major of St. Ann's Parish officiating. Interment will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA immediately following.
