Moore, Jean Wallace WILMINGTON, N.C. Jean Wallace Moore, wife of the late Robert Moore and daughter of the late Constantine and Tatiana Wolchok, died December 9, 2006, at the age of 89. She was born in New York, N.Y. on May 8, 1917 and lived in the Albany area from 1934 until moving to N.C. in 2003. Jean was valedictorian of Margaretville High School and graduated from SUNY Albany in 1938. She taught at Columbia High School in East Greenbush, where she met Robert, her husband of 64 years. Jean was an avid gardener and served as secretary of the Guilderland Public Library for many years. She is survived by children, David Moore of Scotts Hill and Lorna Moore Day of Kirkland, Wash.; four granddaughters, Nicole Day of Omaha, Neb., Erica Hutchison of Macawao, Hawaii and Tanya Moore and Carrie Moore, both of Durham, N.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Chase, Jessica and Afton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday, December 18 at 5 p.m at the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Interment will be Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in the East Greenbush Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Jean's memory to the charity of one's choice.
