Born in Fayette County, PA, on Jan. 18, 1927, where she graduated with a B.S. in Science Education from Waynesburg College. She married James Morris in 1949 and started a family. They moved to Tampa in 1959 where she taught biology, marine biology, and ecology classes at Wilson Junior High and Hillsborough High School through 1986. She was preceded in death by her parents, Holly and Blanche Messenger; husband, James Morris; sister, Carolyn Dearth; and brother, James Messenger. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Maiville, Nancy Losgar (John) and Anita Deal; grandchildren, Austin, Audrey and Thomas Deal; and extended family who will miss her greatly. Her funeral service will take place Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11 am at the Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm.
