CARR Ms. Jean Marie Griffen Carr, age 51, of Griffin, GA formerly of Jacksonville, FL, passed away of cancer Saturday, January 22, 2005, at the Christian Ministries Hospice. Jean was born and raised in Jacksonville daughter of Frank A. Griffen, Jr. and the late M. Elizabeth Lawson Griffen. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and daughter. Jean was of the Catholic faith, and was preceded in death by her sister Dean James. Survivors include her son, Jeremie and Amanda Carr of Alpharetta, GA; daughter Sarah Carr and Toby Blanton of Brooks, GA: grandchildren, Jessica "Taylor" Carr and Griffen Lane Carr, both of Alpharetta, GA and Anna Elisabeth Blanton of Brooks, GA; father, Frank A.Griffen, Jr.of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Jerree and Richard Rippel of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service for Ms. Jean Marie Griffen Carr was conducted Tuesday, January 25, 2005, from the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel in Griffin, GA. Father Phillip Ryan officia te.
