Jean L. Wilson, 89, of Daytona Beach, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on June 1, 2010. She was born in Homer, LA Aug. 10, 1920. She moved to Sanford, FL as an infant. She met her husband, John Henry Wilson, Sr, and married in 1937. She and her husband moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL, and owned Home Furniture Co. for many years. Jean loved to travel and experience life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Smyrna and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Easter Star. Her husband, son and brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Goodrich of Edgewater; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, whom she greatly loved. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at 10:00am at the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in Jean's name.
