Mrs. Jean Harris Harrington, age 73, of 116 Reed Place, Anderson, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at her residence.Born in Anderson on Jan. 18, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Llewlyn Harris and Marie Cann Harris. Mrs. Harrington retired from Piedmont Pathology Associates. She was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Prior to her illness, she was the president of the Mary O. Holler Bible Class, member of the W.M.U., and volunteer for the St. John's Clothes Closet. She was also a volunteer at the Anderson Free Clinic. She was active in the Reed Place Home Owners' Association, a talented artist and avid bridge player. Among all things, Mrs. Harrington loved her family and working in her church. Survivors include her husband, John A. Harrington; a daughter, Debra Bentzel and her husband, Greg, of Greenville; a son, Mitch McDonald and his wife, Nancy, of Anderson; two brothers, Bruce Harris of Hartwell, Ga., and Jesse Harris of Anderson; three sisters, Lucille Hamilton of Columbia, Tenn., Maudelle Daniel and Alice Davis, both of Anderson; five grandchildren, Kendall Snyder, Cayce Finley, Mollie Todd, Amy McDonald and Trent McDonald; and five great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Upchurch and Elizabeth "Cricket" Baron.Services will be held Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. William R.
