O'SULLIVAN Atty. Jean Fraser O'Sullivan, age 91 of Stratford, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care. She was the wife of James L. O'Sullivan. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., September 15,1916, a daughter of the late Dr. Robert Alexander Fraser and Ethel Lavinia Heygster Fraser. She was a graduate of the Berkeley Institute in Brooklyn, Duke University in 1939 and Yale Law School in 1942, and was a retired attorney who had practiced with the Wall Street, New York Law Firm of Emmet, Marvin and Martin. Mrs. O'Sullivan was the first president of Family Services-Woodfield and a former member of the Pequot Yacht Club and Brooklawn Country Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Atty. Robert F. Hilgendorff of Fairfield; her daughters, Katherine H. Blanchard and her husband, Mark of Orford, N.H. and Jane S. Huggins and her husband, Mark of Altamont, N.Y. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Stevens W. Blanchard, Emily Jean Blanchard, Jeffrey R. Huggins and Andrew S. Huggins; two great-granddaughters, Olivia K. Blanchard and Madeline R. Blanchard; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Atty. Robert B. Hilgendorff of Fairfield. Funeral services will take place Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 6 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, with Msgr. Lawrence McMahon officiating. Friends may greet the family Sunday in the funeral home from 3 to 6 p.m. Burial will be held privately in St. Michael's Cemetery.
