Jean D. Moore (nee Sipple) age 85 of Penns Grove when home to be with the angels following a lengthy illness on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Southgate Health Care Center, Carneys Point. Born in Penns Grove, daughter of the late John and Emily Sipple, she had been a lifelong Penns Grove resident. Mrs. Moore was employed as a clerk for Atlantic Aviation in Wilmington for 25 years. She was a 50 year member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Penns Grove, a member of the Rebekah Lodge and enjoyed bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Moore is survived by her children, Walter Moore of Pennsville, Sandra Grant and her husband Tom of Townsend, DE, Mary Jane Pomponi and her husband John of Pedricktown, her grandchildren, Bill Grant, Brian Grant, John Pomponi, Jr., Michael Pomponi, Heather Moore and Jenna Moore as well as eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Wright and a brother, Willard Sippple. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 AM in the Ashcraft Funeral Home, 47 State St., Penns Grove with funeral services at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
