Madison<!-- Jean Burden Davis -->Graveside service for Jean Burden Davis, 84, of Madison will be Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Bobby King officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.Mrs. Davis, who died Friday, January 15, 2010, in Huntsville, was born October 10, 1925, in Lawrence County to Arthur Doyle Burden and Katie McCaghren Burden. She retired from the Decatur City School system where she taught math at Decatur High School for many years. She is survived by one sister, Wilda Nichols of Decatur; one nephew, Wayne Short of Prattville; and three nieces, Shannon Short of Madison, Patricia Miller of Somerville and Donna Edwards of Dothan. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the church of your choice.
