Jean B. Anderson 1922 - 2013 BRADENTON, FL - Jean B. (Bishop) Anderson, 90, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2013. Jean was born in White Plains, NY, to William F. and Emma K. Bishop, formerly of Longmeadow, and lived most of her life in Springfield. She married the late Herbert C. F. Anderson of Springfield, and was a longtime buyer for Steiger's Department Stores before her retirement in 1987 to Bradenton, FL. Jean was an active member of South Congregational Church for many years and a leader in Scouting and the PTA as well as many other civic endeavors. Her brother was the late William F. Bishop Jr. of Longmeadow. Jean leaves her two loving sons, Frederick Anderson and his wife Allene of Naperville, IL and William Anderson and Deborah of Sarasota, FL. She also leaves four grandchildren, Melissa Shyavitz, Amber, Lincoln and Douglas Anderson, sister-in-law Marilyn Bishop of East Longmeadow, nieces Holly Howland and Lisa Chapdelaine, nephew William Bishop III, and many others who will remember her generous and loving spirit.
