Jean Ann "JAM" Miller, 73, died May 27, 2009, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Lancaster, N.Y., and lived in Florida since 1955 and Vero Beach since 1980. She was an elementary schoolteacher for more than 15 years. She was dental office manager until her move to Vero Beach, where she worked for Lawyer's Title in the beachside office. She retired from there in the late 1990s. She was a volunteer with the "Friends of the Library" at the Book Depot and a volunteer with Riverside Theatre. She also was an active member and past president of the Vero Beach Garden Club, Bougainvillea Circle. Survivors include her aunt, Catherine Sheehan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eileen Weisbeck; and brother, Jerome C. "Romie" Miller of Lancaster. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 5th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: A Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. June 6 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2000 20th St., Vero Beach. Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
