->PLYMOUTH, N.H. - PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Jaye Ellen (Blanchette) Williams, 50, of Thurlow Street, died peacefully Sept. 12, 2012, at her home, after a courageous five-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Jaye was born Oct. 28, 1961, in Millinocket, to Roland and Meridyth "Tony" (Dwyer) Blanchette. She graduated from Stearns High School, Millinocket, class of 1980, and the University of Maine at Farmington, class of 1984, with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She had been a resident of Plymouth, N.H., since 1985. Jaye taught school for SAU 48 in Campton, Wentworth and Plymouth elementary schools from 1985 to 2007, but took seven years leave of absence during that time to raise her children. Her first loves were teaching and reading, of course. She added two new beloved hobbies in the past few years - knitting and watercolor painting.Jaye is survived by the love of her life and husband of 28 years, Donald A. Williams; sons, Aaron A. Williams and Isaac G. Williams, all of Plymouth, N.H.; her parents, Roland and Meridyth Blanchette of Lakeland, Fla.; her best friend and sister, Lyla Hayes and husband, Mark, of Plymouth; brother, Brent Blanchette and wife, Kathryn, of Orange Park, Fla.; mother-in-law, Marion (Barr) Williams of Bangor; sisters-in-law, Nada Williams of Bangor and Stacey Williams of Lincoln; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special peeps, you know who you are, that helped her live a wonderfully full life during her battle with this disease.A private family graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth, N.H. A celebration of Jaye's life will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Common Man Fosters Restaurant, Plymouth, N.H. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Jaye B. Williams Children's Book Fund, 64 Thurlow St., Plymouth, NH 03264. Mayhew Funeral Homes and Crematorium are assisting the family with the arrangements.
