Jason "Jay" Elliott October 31, 1977 - July 9, 2010 Windham - Jason "Jay" Elliott, of Windham, passed away early in the morning of July 9th, 2010 due to a tragic motorcycle accident. Born in Amory, Mississippi on Oct. 31, 1977, he was only 32 years old. His grandfather had nicknamed him "The Rebel" for being born in the south. Jason is the son of Nancy and John Elliott and big brother and protector of Brandon T. Elliott. Jason always did things in a big way; jumping in with both feet and always striving to be the best. He was devoted to exercise and weight lifting, archery and shooting at the gun range. He loved his 4X4 monster truck and his Harley Davidson. He had many accomplishments; Jay overcame his demons, started his own businesses "Rhino Liner" and Premier Custom Builders. He learned to take anything apart and fix it; he became a skilled carpenter. In addition to his parents and brother, he leaves behind many who loved him, Sylvie Laflamme who in the last ten years was his companion, friend and wife; "Hoochiepooch" his boxer and little dude as he affectionately called him; his stepfather Phillip Bussiere, his stepsister Kelee Calkins, aunts, uncles, several cousins, all his wonderful friends and special friend Alana Rizza who had brought him much happiness and made him smile. I love you Jay to the moon and beyond. I will miss your funny smile……Mom. Jason's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday July 12th between 5:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday at 11:00am at First Congregational Church of Coventry, 1171 Main St. (Rte. 31) Coventry with Rev. Dr. Bruce Johnson officiating.
