->Jordan, Janis ElaineMyrtle Beach, SC: Janis Elaine Jordan, age 72, wife of William E. Jordan, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jordan was born September 21, 1938 in New York, NY, a daughter of the late Reginald and Adele Weiss Brenner.In addition to her parents, her brother, Reginald Brenner and her sister, Carol McGrath, preceded Mrs. Jordan in death.Mrs. Jordan served as a Dominican Nun for 13 years in New York City, NY. She was later employed in various Management positions with Xerox Corporation in Rochester, NY. After leaving Xerox, Mrs. Jordan purchased a small machine shop later to be known as Jordan Products. While acting as CEO and President of Jordan Products for more than 20 years, she grew the company to over 50 employees. In addition to being a golfing member at the Dunes Golf and Country Club in Myrtle Beach for the past 13 years, Mrs. Jordan was a 20 year member of Genesee Valley Hiking Club in Rochester, NY. She enjoyed hiking, camping and cross-country skiing. Mrs. Jordan also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.Surviving in addition to her husband are her step-children; William E. Jordan of Melbourne, FL, Paul S. Jordan and his wife, Elizabeth, of Rochester, NY, Debra Jordan of Greenville, NC, Tracey Ostrander and her husband, Joseph, of Cary, NC; her brother, Robert Brenner of Colorado; her sister, Evelyn Brenner of Florida; and her grandchildren, Sarah Jordan, Carter Jordan, Christopher Ostrander, Nicole Ostrander, Holley Ostrander, and Matthew Ostrander.Funeral services will be private.
