Janice Marie Davis, after a courageous battle with cancer, left this earth Nov. 27, 2002, Heaven bound.Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, from 6-8 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Tuscumbia Church of Christ. Officiating at the funeral will be Bob Plunket.She was a native of Hodges, Ala.She is survived by her husband, Jerry Davis of Tuscumbia; son, Rece Davis and wife, Leigh, of Burlington, Conn.; daughter, Tiffany Davis of Birmingham, Ala.; mother, Rosa Mae Harris; stepfather, Audrey Harris of Hamilton, Ala.; sister, Alice Hornsby and husband, W.J., of Phil Campbell; brothers, Charles Steele of Birmingham, and Rodney Steele and wife, Paulette, of Hamilton; grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth Davis of Burlington, Conn.Pallbearers will include Mike Willis, Charles Malone, Joel Hester, Barry Hornsby, Wesley Steele and Joey Kelley.She was a member of Tuscumbia Church of Christ.Memorials may be made to UAB Comprehensive Center, Neuro-Oncology Program or Hospice of the Shoals.
