WALTHAM -- Janice D. Johnson, 50, of 976 Main St., formerly of Hudson, N.H., and Townsend, died Friday, Nov. 28, at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, after being stricken ill earlier that day. Miss Johnson was born in Owensboro, Ky., on May 15, 1953, the daughter of Benjamin C. and Betty J. (Jackson) Johnson and grew up in Townsend. She resided several years in Hudson, N.H., before moving to Waltham three years ago. She was a 1971 graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend where she played the clarinet in the school band. She received her undergraduate degree in history and languages from the University of Lowell, and continued to the University of New Hampshire where she received her master’s degree in business administration. She then continued to Fitchburg State College where she received a bachelor’s degree in education administration and most recently this past May received a bachelors degree in law from Suffolk University, Boston. For the past three years she was employed as a security officer at Securitas Co. in Burlington. Prior to that she worked as an industrial technician for the Raytheon Company in Bedford and Waltham. She also taught several classes as a substitute teacher in the Boston and Lowell Public Schools Systems as well as the Massachusetts Correctional Institute, Shirley. A licensed real estate broker in the state of New Hampshire, she owned and operated the Puffin Realty Company in Hudson, N.H. She was a member of the Fortnightly Club in Hudson, N.H. Miss Johnson enjoyed writing and had several of her works published. She also enjoyed painting, scuba diving and playing tennis. She is survived by her father, Benjamin C. Johnson and stepmother, Carol Johnson of Greensboro, N.C.; her mother, Betty J. (Jackson) Johnson of Townsend; two sisters, Helen Butler of Texas and Connie Eyles of Townsend; three brothers, Michael Johnson of California, David Johnson of Texas, and Vincent Johnson of Leominster; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Benjamin R. Johnson who died in 1998. JOHNSON -- On Nov. 28, Janice D. Johnson, 50, of Waltham. A memorial service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the T.J.
