Janice B. Johnson, 72, Englewood, died Oct. 21, 2006. She was born June 23, 1934, in Frewsburg, N.Y., and came to the Englewood area in 1985 from Jamestown, N.Y. She was a graduate of Augustana School of Nursing in Chicago. She was a registered nurse for 25 years at Jamestown General Hospital and director of nursing at the Fenton Park Nursing Home in Jamestown. She was a member of The Creche Inc., Moonbrook Country Club, Bemus Point Women's Golf League, past president of Y's Menettes of the YMCA, and former member of Chautauqua County Regional Foundation, all of Jamestown. She was a Lutheran. Survivors include her husband, Roger A.; her mother, Marjorie Bjork of Daytona Beach; a daughter, Cheryl Thomas of Houston, Texas; a brother, Timothy Bjork of Port Orange; and two grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Port Charlotte chapter, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
