Janet Rose Snider, of DeLand, FL, passed away on December 21, 2008 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Care Center in Orange City. Jan was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on June 6, 1929 to Charles C. and Velma (Bowman) Rose. Before her death, she retired from Ohio Bell Telephone in Columbus Ohio. She was preceded in death by her first son, Richard, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Richard, Sr. of DeLand; her sons, Steven V. Snider of Colorado Springs, Colorado and James R. Snider of Westland, Michigan; her nephew, Charles Vagt of Columbus, Ohio; her two sisters-in-law, Marcelle Smitley of Houston, Texas and Marion Snider of Zanesville, Ohio; and her aunt, Joyce Shaulis of DeLand. No services are planned. Interment will take place at a later date in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Gratiot, Ohio. At the request of the family, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Assn, 310 N.
