HISSINK, Janet Mary (nee Russell) In Perth, on Monday, April 16, 2007, Janet Mary, beloved wife of Andre. Loving mother of John (Diane) in California, Linda (Karl) in Merrickville and Elisabeth in England. Proud grandmother of Karen, Mike, Brian (Anyes), Kate (Jeremy) and Alex (Mark) and great-grandmother of Morgan, Astrid, Ben and Jasper. She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Gertrude Russell and her brother Ronald, and survived by her brother Peter. Janet was born in China in 1919 to British missionary parents and lived there and in England in her youth, meeting and marrying Andre, a Dutch airman stationed in England during the war. They married in Indonesia and during their 66-year marriage also lived in Australia, USA, England, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and New Zealand before settling in Canada. She is missed by all her family and friends. A lifelong lover of animals and birds, her furry friends Molly, Amy, Beau and Rosie also miss her. A private family celebration of her life will be held.
