MILLER, Janet Mabel (nee Brooker) Aged 74 years, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 25, 2010. Janet was predeceased by Ray, her husband of 51 years; parents James and Mary; and sisters Pearl, Peggy, Dot, Noella and Lynn. She is sadly missed by her sister Vi (Ron), brother John (Ruth); daughter Tish; sons Don (Shelley), Randy and Sandy (Adele); grandchildren, Jennifer, Tara, Amanda, Dana, Jaybree, Jasmine, Connor, Grayson, Griffen, James and Tasha; and great-grandson Owen, as well as many relatives and friends. Her feistiness, pointed sense of humour and indomitable spirit will be greatly missed. She will be remembered by many as a long-term and well-respected employee of Fraser Downs (Cloverdale Raceway), and as a dedicated volunteer at the Legion. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Cloverdale Branch No. 6 - 17567 - 57 Avenue on Wednesday, August 4 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Legion Poppy Fund or Canadian Cancer Society.
