Jane Odekirk WallSt. GeorgeJane Odekirk Wall returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 27, 2012. She was born on September 14, 1937 in Vernal, Utah. She was the daughter of Dolores Sabey and Wilford LeRoy Odekirk. She was a member of the LDS Church and worked in all of the organizations. Her particular love was in Cubbing and Boy Scouts and she was nominated for the Silver Beaver Scouting Award. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Revolution.Janie graduated from Uintah High in 1955. After graduation, she married Larry Strecker Hodgkinson in May 1955. They had one child together and later divorced. She then married Cecil Clyde Wall on January 18, 1964 in Ely, Nevada and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on April 27, 1984. Together they raised their five daughters and one son in Vernal and later moved to St. George, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters - Phyllis Odekirk and Nadeen Reed and one brother Harold DR Odekirk. Also her grandson Jared Harrison and great grandson Justin Jones. She is survived by her husband, Cecil. Daughters Jackie (Tom) Flanagan, Pattie (Jack) Reed, Debbie Jensen, Julie Elder, Kim (Cory) Hacking and son DR (Raquel) Wall; 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; niece Cami (Tony) Gabossi and two grandniece and two grand nephews.Funeral services will be held Friday August 31st at 11 am at the Vernal LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 475 W 100 South, Vernal, with a viewing prior to services at 10 am. A viewing for friends and family will be held on Thursday, August 30th at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary 15 East 100 North Vernal, UT from 6 to 8 pm.Burial with be at the Vernal Memorial Park.
