SMITH, JaneAge 82 of Portland. March 20, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 22, 2008 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with Reverend Roy Lamberth officiating. Burial will follow at Cross Plains Cemetery, with "Friends of Jane and Bill W." serving as Pallbearers. Visitation for Mrs. Smith was held Friday evening, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith was born July 5, 1925 to the late Thomas and Millie Baggett Jones in Robertson County, TN. She worked as a Custodian for the Sumner County School System and was a member of the First Baptist Church in White House. She is preceded in death by her husbands, James T. Christopher and Edgar Lee Smith; brother, Rodney Jones. She is survived by her devoted friends, Marti Biliunas and Bob McClintoch. Mrs. Smith is also survived by a host of loving cousins and nephews.
