Graveside services for Mrs. Jane Sanders Hopper 81 will be held at 4:30 p.m. today September 6 2003 in Browns Cemetery with Rev. J.V. Davis officiating. Burial will follow with Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hopper died Thursday September 4 2003 at Regional Hospital of Jackson. She was born in Madison County daughter of the late Fred and Janie Bell Anderson Sanders and educated in the county schools. Mrs. Hopper was a retired artist and antique dealer. She was a member of Browns United Methodist Church and the Tennessee Art Guild. Mrs. Hopper was preceded in death by her husband Murray Hopper on August 11 2000; a sister Dorothy Sanders Luckey and two brothers Ernest Watson Sanders and Fred Sanders Jr. Survivors include two daughters Mary Jane Hopper Smith and Melody Sanders Hopper Haltom both of Jackson; a son Murray Anthony Hopper of Jackson; two sisters Doris Sanders Marsh of New Johnsonville TN and Robbie Sanders Black of Dadeville AL; two brothers Maurice Sanders of Crossville TN and Larry Sanders of Humboldt; six grandchildren Marcus Alan Smith Samuel Howard Smith Bryan Anthony Hopper Murray Anthony Hopper II Bruce Bartley Haltom and Jonathan Murray Haltom. Pallbearers to serve are Jack Luckey Barry Phillips David Phillips Bob Phillips Mark Smith and Tom Luckey. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home 731-424-2424
