CHESHIRE - Jane (Kiely) Casey, 81, of Cheshire, wife of the late William J. Casey Sr., died on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 at the Conn. Hospice in Branford after a lengthy illness.Born in Meriden, on March 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Daniel and Agnes (Hennessy) Kiely, she had been a resident of Cheshire since 1949. Mrs. Casey was a graduate of Meriden High School and of the former Larson Junior College of Hamden. She was employed by the Meriden Record-Journal for over 20 years, retiring in 1994. Mrs. Casey was a parishioner of St. Bridget Church, Cheshire and a member of the church choir.She is survived by three daughters, Shannon Rudewicz and her husband, Walter, of Tolland, Tara Cote, of Keene, N.H. and Colleen Mulligan and her husband, Robert, of Cheshire; two sons, William J. Casey Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of Cheshire and Timothy Casey, of Cheshire; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey, Erin and Brett Casey, Rebecca Rudewicz, Lauren and William Cote, Sarah Mulligan, Matthew and Alyssa Casey; two beloved sisters, Mary Casey, of Meriden and Elizabeth Hogan and her husband, Stephen, of Unionville; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Roland Cote.Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be held on Friday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m., at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be in St. Bridget Cemetery. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E.
