JANE JOHNSON (NEE LEE) VALPARAISO, IN Jane Johnson (nee Lee), 89 of Valparaiso, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Pines Village. She was born on April 27, 1922 in Baltimore, MD to Alfred and Lula (Burns) Lee and graduated from Towson High School in Maryland. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Valparaiso and was involved in Tri Kappa, PEO, Church Circle and served as a Pink Lady at PMH. Jane was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, enjoyed knitting, golf, bridge and looking at the lake. On October 21, 1944 in Towson, MD she married Gregg Johnson, who preceded her in death in 2007. Survivors include their daughter: Laura (Dennis) Mock of Warsaw; three sisters: Elizabeth Gorsuch, Martha Johnston and Dixie Petersen; two grandchildren: Christy Certain and Andrew Mock; and three great grandchildren: Mariela and Camile Certain and Cedar Mock. She was preceded in death by her sister, Harriet Luber. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 103 N. Franklin St., Valparaiso with entombment at Graceland mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso.
