Jane-H. Moore, née en 1923, conjointe de Vernon Moore, fille de Earl et Edna, mère de Nan et Jane, est décédée le 18 avril 2012. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
MOORE, JANE H., passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, rejoining her husband Vernon Moore, who predeceased her by five years. Jane and Vernon were extraordinarily proud parents of only daughter Nan Moore, and steadfast supporters of the Male High School Band, which Nan has conducted for the past 35 years. The Moores accompanied the band on dozens of their trips, and were always first to pitch in for the musicians' fund-raising efforts. Through their 64-year marriage, Jane and Vernon's lives were exemplary of the pioneering spirit and patriotism embodied in "The Greatest Generation." Jane worked in the early days of pre-computer technology for Bell Telephone Company, until the birth of her daughter, when she devoted herself full-time to raising Nan. Vernon served his country in World War II and retired from International Harvester as a medical technician. The Moore family enjoyed 45 years on their eastern Jefferson County farm, and were members of Jeffersontown United Methodist Church. In her earlier years Jane sang in church choir, and her love of music showed by frequent attendance at Nan's band performances, most recently at the KMEA In-Service Conference performance in February. Jane was born January 22, 1923, to Edna and Earl Hall in Mt. Washington, KY. Growing up as the second oldest in a family of seven children, Jane was predeceased by her parents and husband, her sisters Elizabeth Bridwell, Imogene Martin, and her brother Marvin Hall. Jane is survived by daughter, Nan, sisters Sherley Hall and Marlene Neal, brother Horace Hall (Glenna), and sister-in-law Shirley Jo Hall. The family would like to thank Mike and Pat Holt and Geneva Logston for the loving care and compassion they provided for Jane. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mt. Washington. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Jeffersontown United Methodist Church with burial at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. In lieu of flowers, the Moore family appreciates contributions to the family's church.
