TROY - Jane E. (Reed) Moore of Troy died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, with her loving children at her side. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin B. and Jane D. (Leonard) Reed.She is survived by 10 children, Jane (Dr. Virgilio) Victoriano, Dorothy Patterson, Nancy (Dr. Jesus) Yap, Ellen (Dr. Rommel) Lozada, Mary Milham, Edward F. (Anne) Moore, Judy Moore, Nora (Anthony) Baratto, Melanie Moore and Benjamin (Adrienne) Moore. Jane had 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving companions, Stitch and Higgins.Jane was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Robert J. Moore; two sons, Robert E. (Sandra) Moore and Gerard J. (Margaret) Moore; a grandson, Rommel Lozada Jr.; and her siblings, Benjamin (Jean), Edward (Carole) Reed and Mary (Reed) McHugh.Jane was raised in Albany and graduated from St. Peter's Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse at St. Peter's Hospital for many years. Jane pursued her master's degree after raising her children and taught at Manpower and the Board of Cooperative Education (BOCES) until her retirement.Jane was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, needlework and crafts. She loved making things for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed telling stories about her Irish roots, old Albany and raising her 12 children. We thank her and our father for the precious gift of having "each other" in our lives. She had a great sense of humor even throughout her illness and will be truly missed by all.Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N.
