The funeral for Mrs. Jane Ellen Jackson will be Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Killen United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ted Peterson and the Rev. Jim Webster will officiate. The casket will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home. Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.Mrs. Jackson, age 66, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2005, at her home after an extended illness. She was a member of Killen United Methodist Church and was a past president of United Methodist Women. She had been a manager of the Muscle Shoals Credit Bureau for many years and a volunteer for the American Heart Association.Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her father, William McKinley Michael; mother, Carrie Ida Michael; and sister, Wylodean Mitchell.Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Alvin M. Jackson Sr.; daughter, Emily Karen Gray, Killen, Ala.; son, Alvin M. Jackson Jr., Greenhill, Ala.; grandson, Michael Glenn Gray, Killen, Ala.; brother, Edgar Michael and wife, Juanita, Florence, Ala.; sisters, Delphine Glover and husband, J.D., Lexington, Ala., Imogene Bostick and husband, Lebert, Athens, Ala., Allison Michael, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.Pallbearers will be Wayne Lott, David Glover, Marvin Weir, Allen Wilson, Lee Butler and Joe Nelson.Honorary pallbearers will be Class 10 of Killen United Methodist Church.The family would like to thank Northwest Alabama Cancer Center and Hospice of the Tennessee Valley for the wonderful care given Mrs. Jackson.Memorials may be made to Killen United Methodist Church building fund, Hospice of the Tennessee Valley or the American Cancer Society.
