->Jane E. Wallace Cooper1943 - 2015MONMOUTH - Jane E. Wallace Cooper, 71, a long time resident of Monmouth, died on Saturday evening, March 28, 2015, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, following a long illness. She was born in Winthrop on March 30, 1943, the daughter of Ralph H. and Arlene E. (Robinson) Wallace. She was educated in the schools of Winthrop graduating from Winthrop High School in 1961. She married Carroll E. Cooper, Sr. on Nov. 25, 1960, in Winthrop.Jane was employed for many years with Blanchard Fire Associates of Winthrop as an administrative assistant and for over 25 years owned and operated Lil' Orbits Mini Donuts, working many fairs throughout Maine. She considered her most important position as that of homemaker taking care of her family. Jane was a past member and officer of the Monmouth Fair Association, The U.S. Naval Sea Cadets of Brunswick, and was a past founding member and officer of the Cochnewagan Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club. Survivors include her husband Carroll Cooper of Monmouth; a daughter Kelly J. Cooper-Arsenault and her husband Michael of Turner, two sons, Carroll E. Cooper, Jr. and Ralph "Rusty" L. Cooper, both of Monmouth; six sisters, Carol, Margie, Patti, Cathy, Joann and Lynnie and their families; six grandchildren, Joshua, Amber, Corie, Little Mike, Danny and Becca; and six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, April 3, from 1-3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, where a Celebration of Jane's life will be held following visitation at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery, Monmouth in the spring.
