Little River, S.C. - Jane (Fenton) Davis, 76, of Little River S.C., formerly of Salem, Conn., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, surrounded by her family.She was born in North Attleboro, Mass. on Oct. 29, 1934. Jane is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond R. Davis. She retired from the Connecticut Department of Corrections after 21 years, eventually retiring to Myrtle Beach, S.C.In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Rick Davis and wife, Donna, of Salem, and Dave Davis and wife, Patti, of Monmouth, Maine; her daughter, Debra "Nook" Charbonnier and husband, Buddy, of East Haddam; as well as her brother, Bob Stone of Bristol.She was predeceased by her daughter, Cindy Crocker.She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A very caring person, she was also a parent to 55 foster children throughout her life. She will be remembered for her strength and love of family.A memorial service will be held at the Salem Firehouse on Route 85 from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010.
