ANDERSON, JANE CAROLYN, 82, passed away Wednesday June 9, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. Carolyn was born and raised in Brundidge, AL. She was a proud Southern lady who was a teacher for many years in Alabama, Wisconsin and for 27 years was an elementary teacher at Bowen Elementary School. in Louisville. She was an active volunteer for Baptist Hospital East and the St. Matthews United Methodist Church where she was a member. She was a graduate of Troy State University in Troy, AL and had many friends and a wonderful family who loved her very much. She loved her children and grandchildren and was active and supportive in all their activities. Carolyn was a wonderful role model for all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Anderson. Survivors include her children, Susan J. Hicks (Jim), David A. Anderson (Michelle), Donald W. Anderson Jr. (Dolly): grandchildren, Melanie, Michael, Matthew. Emily, Amy, Molly Anderson and Crystal Patrick; great grandchild, Brooke Holdcraft. Visitation will be Friday from 2-7 p.m. at Pearson Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday June 12, 2010 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 319 Browns Lane, Louisville, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Matthews United Methodist Church.
