James Williams, age 80, of 220 Jersey St., Laurens, died Monday, June 20, 2005, in Self Regional Health Care System, Greenwood.He was a member of Poplar Springs AME Church, was a self-employed plumber, and was a U.S. Army veteran.He is survived by his wife, Lillie Pearl Williams of Laurens; two daughters, Linda Williams of Laurens and Sarah Beasley of Clinton; a stepdaughter, Janie Kingsborough of Clinton; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs AME Church, with the Rev. Robert Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites. The family is at the home. -- Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, is in charge of arrangements.
