James "Bill" Rudolph Williams, 70, widower of Frances Smith Williams, of 28 Eula St., died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Jay Vance and Mettie Patton Williams. A graduate of Parker High School, Mr. Williams retired from John D. Hollingsworth. He was a member of Laurel Baptist Church and was a Mason. Surviving are two sons, Terry V. Williams of Taylors and Steve Williams and his wife, Diane, of Greer; two grandchildren, Kayla Williams of Fort Mill and Megan Williams of Greer; a brother, Raymond Williams and his wife, Pat, of Greenville; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marvin Smith, Willie and Priscilla Smith, Grace Reynolds and Ruth Wood. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St., Greenville, SC 29605. Visitation will be tonight, Feb. 16, 2005, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel at Graceland East Memorial Park on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to dedicated caregivers, Jackie Smith, Carolyn Wilson, Polly Gregory, Michelle Yates, Tracy Moore, Cindy McCall, Sunny Dixon, Jennifer Pagan and Mary Rainey.
