James Arthur "Tip" Williams, of 11 Marie St., died Oct. 20, 2003, at his home. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of Nellie Williams and the late Frank Williams. He was retired from John D. Hollingsworth on Wheels with 30 years of service. He was a member of Saint Paul Full Deliverance Church, where he served as chairman of the Deacon's ministry.Survivors are his wife, Shirley Williams, of the home; daughters, Teresa Ann Williams, Stephanie Elaine Williams and Katrina Levon Williams, all of Greenville; a son, Reco Larmont Williams, of Greenville; mother, Nellie Williams, of Greenville; sisters, Hattie Drummond and Mattie Williams, of Greenville; brothers, Broadus Williams, of Aurora Eleanor, Ill., Roosevelt Williams, of Simpsonville, Otis Williams, George Williams, Calvin Williams, Eddie Williams and Willie Williams, all of Greenville; and seven grandchildren. Funeral service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 7:30 at the mortuary.The family is at the home.
