LYONS, JAMES WILLIAM ORLAND - The death of James William Orland Lyons (Orland), loving husband of Jean Marion (Marshall) Lyons, of Saint John West occurred on Friday, March 5, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born November 25, 1919 he was the son of the late William Victor and Florence Verelia (Barton) Lyons. James was a veteran of the Second World War and served in Canada and overseas in Brittain and Northwest Europe. He was awarded the 1939-1945 Star and the France and Germany Star. He was employed by the D.V.A. Hospital as a stationary engineer. Besides his loving wife he is survived by one daughter Betty M. Reid (Ron) of Quispamsis, two sons James M. Lyons of Ottawa and Brian J. Lyons (Sherry) of Mississauga, and granddaughter Stephanie C. Reid, one sister Margaret Bond and one brother Lawrence Lyons (Bev) of Saint John, one aunt Vi Pangbunn of Minto and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Barton Lyons. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Avenue (634-1701). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on March 9, 2004 at 12 noon at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Dufferin Row. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Sunday from 7-9 pm and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. If desired memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saint John. Following the interment a reception will take place at the "Fallsview" Family Reception Center.
